Just before the commercial service of XGP, comparison reports of different wireless broadband services flooded the media. The specification stipulated speed of XGP (downlink at 20Mbps / uplink at 20Mbps), WiMAX(40Mbps /10Mbps), and HSPA+(21.6Mbps /5.8Mbps) are the major comparison objects. Although, actual rates from field tests with testing spots picked randomly and movement situation being varied, are also carried out. The result showed that there hasn’t been obvious difference at the downlink rate. However, XGP overwhelmed the other standards at the uplink rate in all these field tests. To accelerate the promotion of XGP, we would have to make XGP’s superiority against other standards known to the public and develop it as the centre of our service content.
