Micro Cell System for XGP

One comparing XGP with other BWA technologies, you will find that the biggest difference is whether or not the technology itself is suitable for micro cell structure.
In a MAC layer of XGP,  as long as the adaptability of Autonomous Distributed Control is properly maintained, the use of resource on both frequency axle and time axle will be in extremely simple form.  This guarantees the continuity to use the same frequency on each link, therefore, makes Autonomous Distributed Control and adaptive array control easy.

What are the advantages brought by Autonomous Distributed Control? Autonomous Distributed Control is a control method that assigns individual frequency resource needed by a base station or a handset terminal according to the surrounding environment and condition that it monitored.
As frequency is assigned according to the judgment of surrounding environment and conditions by respective base stations, the problems that are usually caused by single cell location and balance among multiple cells in one area in other systems won’t bother regular operation of XGP system except for unexceptional occasions. Therefore, XGP is overwhelmingly advantageous regarding to the flexibility of cell design, which enables easy construction of wireless network on micro cell base. Despite, there is no need at all to build the whole XGP network with only micro cells. It is completely possible to adopt cells with several kilometers’ coverage in radius in the system. Moreover, it is possible to adopt flexible design even in that case.
The advantage to build a flexible micro cell network is most obviously shown in downtown areas.  Frequency efficiency is always a problem for places with high traffic flow and the most efficient way to raise per unit frequency efficiency is to downsize cells. Yet in a system that needs precise design for each and every cell before installation, secure the installation position can always create a problem. Hence, downsizing cells would be a word easy to say than to do.

Further more, downsized cell for indoor installation, such as Pico Cell and Femto Cell might be considered, but more cells of this kind are installed, more interferences among them can be expected.  Fighting again interference could be another tough task.In a XGP system, as  a cell structure itself has made its installation flexible, location problem from installing a macro cell to installing  a pico cell or a femto cell  is totally avoided theoretically.
XGP can be a combination of macro cell, micro cell, pico cell and femto cell. All locations of all cells can be decided purely according to the need of  situation for telecommunication. Even in same place, installing extra cells are easy once the traffic grows in the area. The advantage of flexibility will completely wave the need of strict redesign of cell deployment in this occasion.
