２０１２年４月２５日と２６日に、東京にて２０１２日中ＴＤＤフォーラムが開催されました。 フォーラムの主催はＸＧＰフォーラム・ＴＤＩＡ・ＧＴＩ、協賛はＡＲＩＢ・ＹＲＰにて運営され、日中両政府からの来賓を始めとして、ＴＤＤ関連のサプライアや通信キャリアなど世界１３ケ国から２００名以上の参加者がありました。当日はＴＤＤ技術で最先端の話題が議論され、また、ソフトバンクグループのＷＣＰ社が開始したＸＧＰ／ＴＤ－ＬＴＥを用いたサービスを体験するためにツアーデモも実施されました。
