The 32nd General Meeting in Shenzhen, China
The 32nd General Meeting of XGP Forum was held on November 18, 2015 at Crowne Plaza Hotel & Suites Landmark Shenzhen, China. We have 17 member corporations at current and 39 people from 9 entities, GTI(Global TD-LTE Initiative), TDIA (Telecommunication Development Industry Alliance), ITRI(Industrial Technology Research Institute of Taiwan, R.O.C) , CAICT(China Academy of Telecommunication Research)attended the meeting.
Shenzhen is a major financial center in southern China. This city is home to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange as well as the headquarters of numerous high-tech companies. It is dubbed as China's Silicon Valley due to this high concentration of technology companies. Shenzhen ranks 22nd in the 2015 edition of the Global Financial Centers Index and also is one of the busiest container ports in the world. It is such an active and dynamic place and that is why chose this city to hold our 32nd General Meeting.
1. Opening
Mr. Sugiura, Secretary General of XGP Forum, announced the opening of the General Meeting and introduced the outline and minutes of the meeting.
2. Welcome Address by Chairperson
Mr. Yoichi Maeda, Chairperson of XGP Forum, warmly welcomed all the attendees from Japan and China and Taiwan.
3. Keynote speech
Ms. Zhou Zhenglan, Director of Industry Department of TDIA, gave a keynote speech about TDD development in China; Mr. Yung-Han Chen, Technical Manager of ITRI, introduced ITRI and 4G Spectrum Allocation in Taiwan; Mr. Huang Shi, Senior Project Manager GTI, gave the keynote speech about TDD development in the world; Mr. Chen Kai, Senior Engineer of CAICT, gave the keynote speech about 5G with TDD; Mr. Colin Jiang, Solution Director of ZTE, gave a keynote speech saying WiMAX to TDLTE evolution would make substantial progress and great boom of TD-LTE in One Belt One Road; Mr. Ben Lin, CTO & Executive VP of Sercomm, introduced Sercomm and their future plan.

Item 1: The Memo of the previous General Meeting

Item 2: BWG Chairperson Changeover
According to Agreement Chapter 10 and Chapter 4 of Agreement Addendum Document 1, Chairperson shall be elected among BWG Members. Mr. Satoshi Fujii, Vice Chairperson of BWG at current, was voluntarily applied to be the new Chairperson. Then the Secretariat office sent out formal invitation to him. In the meanwhile Secretariat Office explained all to the Steering Committee and got approved. After that Secretariat Office sent an e- mail to all members and asked for their comment. The final decision was made at this General Meeting and Mr. Satoshi Fujii became the Chairperson of BWG.

Item 4: The report of Activities and the Statement of Accounts in FY 2014
Secretary General introduced general activities and each chairperson of TWG, BWG and PWG presented activity reports of 2014 respectively. All of them got approved.
Item 5: The proposal of Activities and the Budget in FY 2015 (July 2015 ~ June 2016)
Secretary General introduced general activities to be carried on in 2015 and each chairperson of TWG, BWG, and PWG presented activity plans for 2015 respectively. All of them got unanimously approved.
Item 6: The 20th Anniversary Event in 2016
XGP Forum is planning to hold 20th anniversary event in autumn, 2016 together with the 33rd General Meeting and Seminar co-hosted by GTI and TDIA. All the key persons who contributed to TDD development including PHS and XGP as well will be invited. Special Committee shall be organized at Collaborative WG Meeting on November 18. The budget shall be similar to that of TDD Conference held in Tokyo in 2012.
Adding Supplemental Rules
The basic Rules and Procedures of Accounting and the limit of trip expenditure were explained and got approved.
XGP Forum 32nd General Meeting
After the General Meeting was over, WG Collaborative Meeting was held at the same venue. Each chairperson and members introduced what they had performed and achieved during the last fiscal year in detail as well as their expectation and plan like the development of XGP white paper and expansion of sXGP activity. Various initiative strategy and plans were exchanged and made it very profitable meeting.
In the afternoon, attendees visited HQ and R&D Centers of Huawei, one of the leading global vendors. They kindly introduced 5G Strategy and Status as well as IoT Strategy & Status. Their kind exhibition & showcase tour proved that why Huawei climbed to No. 1 in China's smartphone rankings and became World's 3rd largest mobile phone vendor in Q2 2015. It was a useful opportunity for XGP members to get motivated and challenged. Mr. Yoichi Maeda cordially invited Huawei to come and join the 20th anniversary Event.
At HQ and R&D Center of Huawei
In the evening, all the guest and attendees joined the Team Build-up Dinner at Jingji Guangzhou Cuisine Mansion. Mr. Shoichi Satoh, who had started working as BWG Chairperson of XGP Forum since 2001, made his resignation speech meditating the history of XGP Forum, appreciating for the great support rendered to his activities and closed his speech with the expression “fades away”. His countless dedication to XGP Forum and excellent speech received a hot ovation.
