The 36th General Meeting in Tokyo, Japan

The 36th General Meeting of XGP Forum was held on November 28, 2019 at ARIB in Tokyo, Japan. 56 delegates from MIC, ARIB, and signatory member companies attended the meeting.

1. Opening address

Mr. Yoshiya Iribe, Secretary General of XGP Forum announced the opening of the Genenral Meeting and introduced the outline and resolutions.

2. Chairperson’s Welcome Address

Mr. Yoichi Maeda, Chairperson of XGP Forum, warmly welcomed all the attendees.

3. Resolutions to Be Approved

Item 1: The Memo of the previous General Meeting

The minute of 35th General Meeting were introduced by secretariat office and got approved.

Item 2: Acknowledging A New Member

NEC Corporation(Japan)

Item 3: Establishing and Abolishing WGs

CWG(Coordination Working Group) is newly established for the purpose of promoting sXGP services and OWG(Optimization Working Group) was abolished

Item 4: Activity reports and the Statement of Account in FY 2018

Secretary General introduced general activities and BWG activity, then each chairperson of TWG, AdHoc22 and PWG presented activity reports held in fiscal year of 2018 respectively. Secretary General also introduced the Statement of Accounts in FY 2018. All of them got approved.

Item 5: The proposal of Activities and the Budget in FY 2019

Secretary General introduced general activity plan and BWG activyty plan, then each chairperson of TWG, PWG Chairperson introduced activity plans to be carried on in fiscal year of 2019 respectively. Secretary General also introduced the Budget in FY 2019. All of them got approved.

5. Special Presentation

Mr. Yasuo Tawara, Director-General of the Radio Department, Telecommunications Bureau of MIC gave a keynote speech; Mr.Hideki Sato from Nokia Solutions and Networks gave a speech named “Private LTE Global Use Cases”; Mr. Yoshiyuki Kubo from Accuver gave a speech named “Rethinking the Position and Prospects of sXGP in the 5G Era".
